The test kitchen, Cat's Bakery, was established in July of 2009 as means of being able to continue to stay at home after our children were off to grade school. "It was and still is, important to be available for my family first, but also be able to contribute to our family's growing needs".
Prior experience as an Analytical Chemist for 7 years and 4 years Clinical Research in the "corporate world" contributed to the passion for perfecting and tweaking traditional recipes to optimize the best results possible, when using 100% whole grain in each recipe.
The Powder Mill Grain and Baking Company was added in March 2010, as we decided to provide our customers with flours, baking aids and mixes for you all to bake at home. Everyone should experience the fun of baking and making your own homemade baked goods.
